The world’s best wakesurfers explored a new competitive format at this year’s Nautique Wakesurf National Championships held on the Brazo’s River in the heart of Waco Texas. Taking the separation of skim style and surf style wakesurfing out of the equation for the first time in history, athletes were challenged to put together complete runs that showcased wakesurfing as a sport judged as one discipline. All eyes were on Roswell Rider Ashley Kidd as she threw down in every heat to take the National title in would become the most anticipated matchups of the event.
